Deep in vegetable growing country at the roof of the island of Cebu you will find the small sitio of Lingatong, the highest point in the Municipality of Allegria at 800MASL. I first visited back in November 2022, having been connected with Mam Che Lanie by contacts in Cancabalong and was able to provide some initial support with school supplies.
2022: FIRST INTERACTION

Back in 2022 the teachers toured me around the classrooms to meet the pupils and I took part in some lessons to interact and get to know everyone.

2023: SYMPH VISITS LINGATONG ES
In 2023, some friends at a Technology company in Cebu called SYMPH were looking for a CSR project to donate their Christmas Fundraiser money to. I suggested that they connect with Lingatong to see how they could help address some of their needs. They provided televisions in the classrooms and gift packs for the pupils.

“It was a great experience. We’re glad to finally meet the teachers and students. I’m personally very inspired by the passion of their teachers and the hard work of their parents helping the school. We also enjoyed seeing the students and our hearts were full with thanksgiving letters they sent” – Rachel

Thank you to mam Che Lani, Teachers, and pupils for the warm welcome in their School.
2024: SUPPORTING SPORTS AND PRINTING NEEDS
In May 2024 the school requested support to sponsor medals for the Recognition and Graduation Day for Kinder to Grade 6, and we were able to oblige at a cost of ₱6,000.
In June 2024 we were able to sponsor a new EPSON EcoTank L5590 all in one unit for the school as part of our Balik Eskwela event.

2025: BOND PAPER & CUSTOMISED T-SHIRTS
After she reached out to me again recently I was able to do some digging and provide 8 reams of Bond Paper for the teachers at Lingatong. This helps support the school’s daily instructional needs, particularly in the reproduction of learning materials, activity sheets, assessment tools, and official documents. In a time when printing resources remain limited in many public schools, this contribution helps ensure that no learner is left behind due to lack of access to printed materials.
To quote mam Che Lani, “In addition to the paper supplies, Project Ripple also donated T-shirts for school staff—an act that fostered a sense of unity, pride, and belonging within the school community. These shirts are not only functional, but also symbolic of the strong partnership between Project Ripple and Lingatong ES.”

Looking forward to continued strong bonds with Lingatong Elementary School in the future.
