Today we are excited to launch an OPEN CALL FOR DONATIONS to support our six target projects for 2025. In this 10th Anniversary year of partnership, we are focusing on upgrading infrastructure at both schools to address urgent needs while ensuring a lasting legacy for sponsor’s funds. This is an ambitious undertaking befitting our 10-year anniversary, and I am very much looking forward to your support to help make this possible. Together we can make a difference!
Details of the projects and estimates are set out below:
**Cancabalong elementary school PROJECTS A B C**
| Project A Extend Covered Court to provide shelter for student assembly and school activities |
| In 2024 we secured funding from local donor sources and the school’s modest *MOEE budget from Dep. Ed to construct the first phase of a covered court over the stage area. This project aims to complete the extension of the cover to provide shelter from sun and rain for the pupils during daily assembly and school activities. This will have a big impact during the rainy season from June to November. |

| Project B Tiling of classroom floors at Kinder & Grade I&II building and Grade IV-VI building |
| In 2023 we completed a project to tile the Obo ES Kindergarten classroom to replace the worn-out floor. Following that success, we would now like to repeat it at Cancabalong ES to replace the worn-out floors. This will particularly benefit the kindergarten pupils for soft play and floor exercises. |

| Project C Roof Repairs Grade IV to VI building to replace rotting timbers and storm damage |
| In November 2024 we used funds donated privately to repair the roof on the Kinder and Grade II building following damage from Storm Kristine. We would now like to address the damage to the other building to replace rotten timber and repair damage from last year’s storms to make it robust and safe for the pupils and teachers. |

**Obo elementary school PROJECTS D E F**
| Project D Complete Covered Court shelter for student assembly and school activities |
| This is the Flagship project for Obo ES in 2025. For many years it has been the desire of the school to have a full covered court. The Teachers have been fundraising themselves and have already raised ₱120,000 funds to install a covered court to provide shelter for student assembly and school activities (total estimate ₱750,000. Three out of the eight pillars required have been installed over the past few months. We propose to provide funds to accelerate the installation of the remaining 5 pillars plus the roofing to complete the project. This will provide a lasting infrastructure legacy making a very big difference in the daily life of the school community with protection from the sun and in the rainy season from June to November. |

| Project E Tiling of 3 classroom floors for Grades II/III/IV |
| Following the 2023 completion of tiling of the Obo ES Kindergarten classroom to replace the worn-out floor, we would now like to extend this initiative to tile the floors in the classrooms of Grades II, III, and IV |

| Project F Flooring outside Grade VI classroom terrace area |
| Repairs have been carried out recently at the Grade VI classroom using *MOEE funds to rectify damage from Storm Kristine in October 2024. We propose to provide funds to complete upgrade work to provide a new concrete floor surface outside the classrooms to provide a safe surface for pupils. The area is used for curriculum activities including science experiments and other tasks. |
