Educational DVD’s

Back in June we were able to provide 3 TV+DVD Player sets for classrooms and we recently replaced an old TV in Kindergarden. The students and teachers love this new equipment but they have a shortage of educational DVD’s to use for their lessons plans. The teachers have asked if we can find some DVD’s on the topics science, math, environment, human body, nature, music etc suitable for elementary school grades from 4yrs to 12/13yrs old. IF you have any of these types of DVD’s that you no longer need we would be very happy to receive them as a donation to our (small) School Library! Children’s clothing

In the lead up to December holidays for the celebration of Christmas we are appealing for any unwanted clothing or items suitable for young children and infants.  The school holidays will commence from Fri 9 Dec and we would like to provide a small Secret Santa gift for the children and their young siblings. Any recycled clothing will be distributed to the families of children from the school in the Village of Obo. Volunteer Trip December 9, 2016

Following the very successful “Back to School” volunteer event in Jun ’16 (see blog article) we are launching a 2nd Volunteer Trip which will take place Fri Dec 9, 2016. 4 staff from RBS Singapore are signed up with 3 professionals from Manila. We are currently creating the program for the event but it will include a crafts lesson with Kindergarden and Grade I, careers talk with Grade V and Grade VI, wall mural painting, language lesson in English working in pairs with the classes, distribution of aid items and secret santa gifts, presentation by the students of their Christmas program.
