Aug 2016 – we are delighted to announce that work has just been completed to install washing facilities for Kindergarten and Grade I students outside their classrooms. In June the children were provided with toothbrushes & toothpaste and soap in their ‘Back to School’ packs and a daily register is maintained to ensure healthy teeth and good hygiene are maintained. Previously there were only very basic facilities so we decided to use some of our sponsorship funds to upgrade and provide a permanent concrete / tiled washing area for the children. There is still no running water in the school but when it hopefully becomes available we will connect a faucet. In the meantime we are using a water container and waste water runs off by means of a pipe. This is a big improvement in the daily routine of the children by providing more modern facilities.
